SummerFest has got it all: food trucks, activities, events, live music and entertainment, and SO many opportunities to win prizes! For some good ole fashioned summer fun, plan your trip to our Lakewood SummerFest. Every July, our scenic Fort Steilacoom Park is transformed into an action-packed wonderland for all ages. Thousands of visitors attend SummerFest each year, so plan accordingly! If you’re coming in from out of town, reserve your hotel room in advance. Even if you’re a local, it’s a good idea to head to Fort Steilacoom Park early, in order to nab the best free parking!

SummerFest Car Show+

Stroll through rows of beautiful cars from Lakewood residents. Take a step back in time, and chat with owners about their vintage beauties. Have you always dreamed about having your vehicle featured in a show? The SummerFest Car Show is the perfect opportunity! Lakewood is the home of the original LeMay Car Museum, so we’re automatically a city of car enthusiasts. And after admiring the mint-condition, jewel-toned automobiles, you will be too!

Lakewood SummerFest Triathlon+
SummerFest 5k
Every July the Lakewood SummerFEST Triathlon is held at Fort Steilacoom Park. Competitors aged 15 and up give it their all in a series of athletic feats.
The sprint triathlon course is over 17 miles in length, featuring a 0.5-mile swim in American Lake, a 14-mile bike route, and a 3.1-mile run through Fort Steilacoom park. Runners are greeted by cheering onlookers at the main SummerFest celebration.
The SummerFest Triathlon is a great event for beginner triathletes. Participants can expect a well-maintained course and plenty to do in the surrounding area pre- and post-race. More event specifics will be posted each year closer to the event.
