Every year, Lakewood staff and community volunteers team up to clean our parks. This includes picking up trash, pulling weeds, and light landscaping to preserve the parks. Join us at the next Parks Appreciation Day to help make a difference!

Join City staff for a day of community service and beautification of Lakewood parks during Parks Appreciation Day. Volunteers help remove invasive weeds, pick up trash, and perform other light landscaping to “spring clean” neighborhood parks.

Clean-up teams meet at:

  • Harry Todd Park
  • Fort Steilacoom Park
  • Community Garden
  • Edgewater Park
  • Kiwanis Park

Volunteers should arrive by 9:00 a.m. at the park with gloves, water, outdoor clothing, and sunscreen (and hand pruners if you have them). We work rain or shine, so watch the weather and prepare accordingly.

Where to Stay

Sleep in a 500-year-old castle or in a brand new suite. Swim in the pool or float in a lake. In Lakewood, there is a bed that's just right for you.
