Eggs, and Donuts, and Gravy, Oh My!

What's better than going out for breakfast? We can't think of anything we would rather do!

Lakewood, WA is home to some of the most beloved breakfast establishments in the area. Whether you're looking for an on the go treat, or a relaxing outing with the family, Lakewood has more options than will fit in just one trip. To get your mouth watering, here are some of our local favorites.

Biscuit House+

Plate of eggs, hash, and biscuit at Biscuit House.

You may have caught on from the name, but this restaurant is known for their scratch-made, baked daily biscuits. Enjoy them smothered in sausage gravy, along side plates of signature scrambles and hash, or chow down on a buttery bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Biscuit House is open daily for breakfast and lunch.

Burs Restaurant & Lounge+

Talk about local. Burs has been a Lakewood classic since, well, Lakewood was an incorporated city! For over 40 years, Burs has been serving up homestyle breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are so many options on the menu, you could dine here twice on your weekend in Lakewood! With vintage charm and homemade cinnamon rolls, you'll never want to go home.

Hess Bakery & Deli+

Hess Bakery & Deli offers the freshest and most authentic German baked goods, sandwiches and groceries anywhere in the South Sound. If you're on the go and need to pick up some picnic items, Hess Bakery is the place to check out. Stock up on German breads, meats, and imported chocolates and goodies, and yep, German beer.

Moon Rise Cafe+

Talk about a classic local joint. Moon Rise Cafe is known for their eggs benedict plates, omelets, grilled sandwiches, and their famous Monte Cristo. There's no better place to fuel up for the day, and enjoy some authentic Lakewood charm.

Original House of Donuts+

For our sweet tooths, there's no better place for a quick, decadent sugar-rush than our very own Original House of Donuts. OHOD has been a Lakewood institution for over 50 years, slinging fresh donuts daily. Be prepared, there's more deliciousness than can be covered by just one trip.

Where to Stay

Sleep in a 500-year-old castle or in a brand new suite. Swim in the pool or float in a lake. In Lakewood, there is a bed that's just right for you.
